Exploring Pimlico

We loved exploring the businesses in Pimlico, near to Westminster’s 50-year old LTN. The Tachbrook bakery and patisserie looked like many nice cafes in London from the outside, but inside it was an antique-lovers paradise. The menu was good too- lots of wholesome home made food. We met the owner, Voya, who has been here for 22 years.

“People walk everywhere in Pimlico” he told us. “They are always popping in and asking for directions. We’re just 5 mins walk to the Thames here. People ask all the time how to walk here or there. And I always try my best to help”.

We asked Voya if he walks everywhere too. “Me?!” He said. “I am on my feet here for 14 hours a day! When I leave here I try not to walk anywhere. I jump straight on the tube!” (The area also has great public transport, and hire bikes too!)

There are many interesting businesses in the area- we can confirm that this was an excellent thick and sweet hot chocolate.

We also loved the colours of this light green, and seeing a proper London laundrette! It is well worth a visit and an explore- the Pimlico Grid, and interesting businesses. What could be better than that?
