Is this not the stuff of dreams? \ud83d\udc0e\ud83d\udc0e<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, a consultation is open about whether one road here should be closed to traffic during the week. This is the life!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(Locals will note we are accidentally in the horse-riding lane. Apologies to \ud83d\udc34!)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But we think parks are for:\ud83d\udeb6\ud83c\udffe\u200d\u2642\ufe0f\ud83d\udeb4\ud83c\udffb\u200d\u2640\ufe0f\ud83d\udc0e\ud83c\udf0a\u26f5\ufe0f<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video controls src=\"https:\/\/freshminster.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/fi5fBIy_dIUWfl3.mp4\"><\/video><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Along the South edge of Hyde Park is South Carriage drive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We rode here mid-morning. As you can see the cycle lane is still busy, but at rush hour it\u2019s thronging with people on cycles. To be frank, they need more than one lane \u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video controls src=\"https:\/\/freshminster.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/7omPjHlvqBoL4Kxy.mp4\"><\/video><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Here\u2019s a map of the three roads in the park. South Carriage Drive is the one currently being consulted on. Currently it is closed to motor traffic permanently on the weekends and temporarily during the week. Is this how we want the roads in our parks to look? They say here that there are particular concerns that the cycle lane on Park Lane intersects with South Carriage Drive.
