We thought we\u2019d do a Boxing Day thread about an area with perhaps the oldest LTN in London, in place by 1970, the Pimlico Grid. We loved that as well as the old No Entry signs, we saw brand-new traffic islands with freshly-planted trees on. These really help people cross:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We also spotted some modern LTN signs like here. This appears to be to stop motor traffic from going over the pavement where there\u2019s a lamppost and huge bins. One might think it was obvious that it\u2019s best not to drive over here, but we wouldn\u2019t put it past some drivers \ud83d\ude00<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A reminder of how @CityWestminster<\/a> devised a carefully-planned route of No Entry signs so that traffic can only go one-way, reducing through-traffic in the neighbourhood. The locals we spoke to said it was lovely and quiet here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This was an interesting corner- standing here we could see two streets, both with a cycle hangar, and bikes to rent. It\u2019s great to see this @CityWestminster<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was also good to see a version of cargo bikes doing deliveries in Westminster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And so many bikes to rent! Pimlico- a great place to visit, you can arrive at the tube, pick up a hire bike, and be at the Thames or Tate Britain in a matter of minutes. More of all of this across the borough please! @CityWestminster<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
