We hope for more spaces with low traffic in Westminster this year. Here are some of our favourite spots \ud83e\uddf5\ud83e\udea1<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is Horseguards Parade, behind 10 Downing Street. It was used for beach volleyball at the 2012 Olympics \ud83c\udfd6\ufe0f \ud83c\udf0a\ud83c\udfd0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Locals say it\u2019s one of their favourite places to cycle across.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video controls src=\"https:\/\/freshminster.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/jmbP0L7n9OecDzhH.mp4\" playsinline><\/video><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>We also love the wide spaciousness of Horse Guards Road for cycling- with St James\u2019s Park on the left.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Why is it so wide? \ud83d\udc40\ud83d\udc40<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There\u2019s no parked cars!! It\u2019s good to see some space free from car storage near one of our wonderful parks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video controls src=\"https:\/\/freshminster.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/hx5-8ET72xOxpB0W.mp4\"><\/video><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>This is Dolphin Square in Pimlico- one of London\u2019s secret treasures. It\u2019s technically not a public space, but it\u2019s always open. A good area to explore, and free from traffic so safe for children to run around.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video controls src=\"https:\/\/freshminster.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/MCA9N8xy4wV_IqSj.mp4\"><\/video><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Also, we love the beautiful low-traffic streets of the Pimlico Grid. It\u2019s a residential area of carefully planned one-way streets, and considered one of London\u2019s oldest LTN\u2019s- it\u2019s been in place for over 50 years. Isn\u2019t it wonderful to see what happens when you take the cars away. People reclaim the streets. A happy, thriving bustling city. A city with <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Streetsforpeople?src=hashtag_click\">#Streetsforpeople<\/a> We hope for more of all this in 2024.
